At Huesman, Jones & Miles, we have been constant supporters of the Race for Hope in Washington DC, which is a 5K fundraising run in support of the battle against brain tumors. It is a fun and inspiring way to join together for such a great cause by raising much needed funds for research. It is one of the largest fundraisers in the country benefiting the brain tumor community. For the last 15 years, members of our family have participated in this wonderful event both to honor Alexander Van Emden and to support this excellent cause.
The last race was held on May 1, 2016. Fourteen members of our family participated. It was a damp, cold, and dreary day. Nevertheless, it was very uplifting to see the thousands of people who braved the unpleasant conditions to support a much needed cause. It was heartwarming to see survivors walking a 5K despite the physical challenges. Most importantly, it was an extremely successful fundraiser to date; the event has raised over two million dollars to support research in the field.
You can donate to a single participant, a team, or just the cause in general. Thank you to all of you participated in or supported this much needed fundraiser. For more information, contact Huesman, Jones & Miles at 443-589-0150 or contact us online.
